 Korte Prinsengracht, even numbers
Between HaarlemmerHouttuinen and Haarlemmerdijk
11 Buildings
This picture violates our idea of isolating one building and moving it, because in this one a total row of 11 buildings has been moved. We did it, because this photomontage looks so good: the breaker, the splashes and the water thundering into the canal. The 17th century house on number 12 is stuck in like Tom Thumb between the giants on number 10 from 1800 and a building on number 14 from 1656 that has been enlarged and combined with number 16 into Pakhuis De Gouden Wagen (Warehouse Golden Wagon). The house on number 6 dates from the 18th century. It has a transplanted Dutch gable, taken away by Stadsherstel from a house at Nieuwe Leliestraat 33.
